Beach Wedding Decorations - For Everybody AND Every Budget

Five types of beach wedding decorations - something for every taste

Beach wedding decorations are a MUST for a beach wedding - but they can also be used for a beach-themed wedding. In fact, beach wedding decorations are a popular choice - even miles from the nearest beach!

BEACH WEDDING DECORATIONS FOR EVERY TASTE

When you start to think about beach wedding decorations, you'll need to decide what 'elements' of the beach you want to focus on: some possibilities include the sand, the surf, seashells, the vegetation (for example, palm trees or seaweed), or the wildlife - orcas, for example, or just starfish. You can also combine several elements for all of your beach wedding decorations! Here are five types of beach wedding decorations - there's something for every taste.

1. Sand, and sand-related items. From sandpails full of flowers to sand castles to loose grains of sand sprinkled on everything from the invitations to the buffet tables, sand itself is a major element of many beach wedding decorations.

2. Sea creatures - whether you have a love for orcas, or want to create a whimsical world with mermaids or sea horses, sea creatures can play a part in your beach wedding decorations. One wedding I went to had commissioned a stunning ice sculpture of dolphins leaping through the waves as their buffet table centerpiece, and smaller replicas for vases, and wedding favors.

3. Seashells. Seashells are a wonderfully versatile beach wedding decoration, because they come in so many colors, shapes and sizes. A conch shell can be used to serve grapes on the dessert table, for example, or candle centerpieces can have embedded seashells, and large seashells can even be used to serve condiments, or to hold wedding cake or other wedding favors.

4. 'Beneath the sea.' You can focus your beach wedding decorations on elements beneath the sea - from sand dollars to starfish, there's lots of creative ideas for unique beach wedding decorations. If you want to be whimsical, use a treasure hunt or pirate theme!

5. 'Beach party.' Plan to crank up some Beach Boys tunes, have a few colorful beach umbrellas - add a great old 1960s car or two -- and you've got great beach wedding decorations for an old-fashioned and informal beach party wedding.

You can find -- or create -- beach wedding decorations for every theme, budget and taste!
