Beach Wedding Ceremony Music: Having the Best of all Worlds
Five tips to choose the best beach wedding ceremony music
Choosing your beach wedding ceremony music is one of the first things you'll need to do after you set the date and start planning your beach wedding ceremony. Music for a beach wedding can be pretty much anything you want it to be - I know of a wedding that had a live band set up to play their beach wedding ceremony music, and I've been to a wedding that had a lone flutist playing in the background.
BEACH WEDDING CEREMONY MUSIC: 5 TIPS
1. Decide first if you are going to have any kind of theme for your wedding ceremony -- that will go a long way toward helping you decide on your beach wedding ceremony music.
2. Unless you've really had a burning desire to go 'all out' and do something lavish or extravagant, the best beach wedding ceremony music incorporates the 'keep it simple' principle - less is usually better!
3. Whatever beach wedding ceremony music you choose, do a 'trial run' ahead of time if at all possible. Most folks don't realize that the 'acoustics' (those unseen qualities in a room that contribute to wonderful sounds!) on a beach are almost non-existent. Save yourself a wedding day disaster by checking out what your music will sound like ahead of time.
4. Don't make a final decision on where to place the music, or musicians, until the day of -- and possibly even the hour of -- the ceremony. You'll need to check the wind conditions right up until before the wedding starts, and place the music source BETWEEN the wind direction, and your guests - otherwise, even the slightest breeze may carry the melodies away, never to be heard by anyone!
5. Whatever kind of beach wedding ceremony music you choose, it's a good idea to 'mix and match' rather than have the same type of music playing the whole time. You might vary the 'before the wedding ceremony' music from the 'exit' music, for example. One young couple I know who got married recently had rock music playing right up until the bride's entrance - and then they switched to more traditional fare until the reception, when the rock music began again.
If you plan well in advance, and follow some of these tips, your beach wedding ceremony music will turn out just perfect for you!
